Summer is flying by. Hard to believe it is already August. School is starting back in some places around the country with others following very quickly. In the business world, we are starting to look at event and training calendars and coordinating our fall schedules. Yep, summer is closing to a quick end.
Off and on for the last year there have been discussions about the value of product management and product marketing professionals attending trade shows. I have to admit, I had an opinion, not expressed in the debates, but I was not a fan. I guess too many years of playing demo gal had taken its toll.

Just trying to wrap up some final thoughts here on the Boston Product Camp, before I leave the subject.
I’ve now been in this state of transition for 18 weeks. This is much longer than I thought I’d be here. Really. I intended to visit, not relocate. (And, yes, I have been busy with project work, classes and the like.) Along the way I’ve gotten all kinds of advice, some good and other, well, not so good. But, one thing that I am constantly asked is “What are your target companies? And, have you networked your way into them?
Yesterday a professional companion Adam Bullied wrote in his blog, Write That Down, about a Twitter chat in which he participated. While he enjoyed the experience with colleagues who have “forgotten much more than he will ever know”, his conclusion was that he “couldn’t get in to the depth required for a topic an include examples – all within 140 characters.”
